PRODUCTS
As a custom machine shop, we are required to manufacture a wide variety of parts from an equally wide variety of materials.
Below are some examples of parts we have made in the past and in some cases are continuing to run in small batches as required by our long term customers.
ALUMINUM HEAT SINK
This part was for a prototype electrical device. It was machined from solid aluminum to test the thermal capabilities therefore 3D printing was not an option.
There were several versions machined so the customer could evaluate the efficiency of each sample.
VIAL HOLDER
This custom part, made from PEEK™, required the size and spacing of the holes to be < 10 µm. Vials containing medical specimens were positioned for testing and had to be repeatable accurate over hundreds of holders. An automated system picked up and transferred these holders to various stations to perform numerous tests.
MULTI-AXIS MACHINING
Live tooling on the lathe turret allows machining of features which would otherwise require additional set-ups.
We also have full 4th axis milling as well as 5 sided positioning (3+2) to machine 5 sides of a part in 1 clamping.
This improves part throughput and part accuracy as well as reducing overall machining time.
SMALL BATCH RUNS
We excel at producing small batches of parts with flexible production methods. We can manufacture up to a few hundred pieces at a time, and easily switch between a wide range of equipment to meet the daily demands of our customers. While we are not a high-volume production shop, we can schedule batch runs throughout the year to accommodate larger volumes when needed.
